It has been a hellish week. Moca has been to the vet 3 time and the emergency vet once. We Still do not know exactly what is wrong but we had figured out some of the problems. Another bad thing is I had feding her the recalled pet food pouches. I took her in to a vet in FL on Tuesday I was told she is fine it is just her right knee and her blood sugar was a little low. I was giving food for her and told when she is done nursing we can get her pain pills for the knee. Wednesday I took her to the regular vet cause she was acting very strange. She was disoriented and walking funny and yelping, she was also having small ticks with her head and ears(tiny siesures.) That vet told me she was ok, that Her kidney levels were high but still in the normal range and her calcium was low. I was told to feed her calcium supplements( which I could not find, but did on thursday). Wednesday night, It all got worse. I took her to the Oakdale Er. There I was told that she possible has distemper(there was no sure way to tell unless we did and autopsy) and the best thing to do was think about putting her down. I freaked out. She just had pups, distemper is a viral thing if she has it so does her pups and jack jack. It was a horrible night for me. I got home and about 1:30 am. Slept like crap. I just wanted to be with my baby, and she just wanted to be with her pups and jack jack wanted to be with all of us. But I was told to keep them all seperated untill we knew for sure. That morning my regular vet called to say they had received a call from the Er vet. After the 3 vets in the 2 days we were completely broke. But my vet wanted to see Moca and told me to bring her in and we can get something worked out. I spent some time in there discussing what could be going on with her. He told me that it was very un-likely that it is distemper, maybe just low calcium or could be meningitis. Said I should give her the calcium supplements, which helped(tums makes her have foamy drool that scared the hell out of me). So, I have been giving her calcium carbonate(not tums) and it is helping. It has just reduced the symtpoms but she still has the the ticks and the disorientation and still yepls. She has gotten better, but the stuff still going on and scares the crap out of me.
So, this past week has stressed me out worn me down and made me sick, but my baby is still here and breathing. I hope soon that we can figure out what is going on. I want my Baby Girl to be back to her normal self.
