so ncoe peaked at #17 and it still wasn't a hit in uk or anywhere else for that matter

i know that adam's team hasn't given up on the radio, focus post july 31st? whatever that means. i think they're waiting for it to become a hit in us

i have no idea what the focus date is.

supposedly gt goes on radio mid june. so here we are

but shoshanna also asked for high chart position, like top 10 and we got #82

It was Shoshanna who brought up the date July, 31. UK fans were confused because nobody did understand what she was talking about.
I honestly thought when Adam was in London in February and started doing promo the first thing they would concentrate on would be radio.

I would concentrate on the countries where GT is seling well and charting - even smaller countries. Forget the UK for now.

it would have gotten in the 40's if not for streaming tbh

I think they are waiting for the second single.

Also is there no serious music press in the UK? Because I have not seen one article (although I might have missed one, was away for some days) in the music media.

I think that's their last option at this point, if UK radio doesn't start playing him now

US radio is pretty fucked up, but they got nothing on UK radio. IA with the nonny's bullet point post in the previous thread as to all the reasons why UK radio won't get on board, and since none of those things can be changed (except success in US radio) there's no sense in getting overly wound-up.

They're certainly giving it a good try, but if the wrinkled old men that run R1 have decided they won't play him, there's nothing much else to do.

charts didn't count streaming when ncoe was released, which i imagine is what's killing him here. having no radio play and almost all of the promo outside of chatty man be crammed at the end of the week gave the song almost no chance of really gaining any streaming traction.

the lottery really helped album sales though, that number moved quite a bit on itunes.
