Today I copied the numbers from pulse. I usually do my own calculations but I was running late at work and took the short cut. If the numbers are wrong I didn't notice it.
well I can no longer edit it. I fixed the spin count but can't fix the bullet. I hope it doesn't cause too much angst for people that the numbers are off by 1.
what's with the p-a last sentence? take a chill-pill ffs, no-one's been rude to you, we were simply saying the calculations were a bit off that's all. same as people have when others have got the calcs wrong.
There sure seems to be a lot of concern over the HAC numbers being off by a single spin....if it were off by a more significant amount I could see the need to comment, but for one spin? and then for there to be multiple comments about it?? yeah, it's a bit of overkill IMO.
I think I'll just let numbersnonny take care of the updates from now on. I'll just sit back and enjoy reading her updates like everyone else because tbh I'm kind of over the snotty attitudes I seem to get when I do them.

I'm often not around at the moment to do updates, so if you're not going to do them anymore then maybe there's someone else here who wants to take over? Anyone? A few other people have posted them lately as well I think. Or one other person at least. Kworb's chart is always a good place to get them from if no all access account. He's usually updated by mid afternoon his time (Dutch time I think?) The url is kworb.net/radio. I'll do them if I can but it may not be very often.
By the way I don't think the corrections were meant as criticism, I think some people just want things right for the sake of accuracy that's all. I've had numbers slightly wrong a few times too and been corrected. I didn't see it as personal at all, I get why people want things to be correct.
I didn't take the correction as a criticism. I suck at math (as I have said many many times) so my numbers being wrong wouldn't be a big shock to me honestly. But it was 1 spin, it wasn't my calculation and I edited it after the spin error was pointed out to me. Then multiple people pointed out the error again.
As I said below, I won't be posting the numbers anymore. I want to enjoy this song and I don't take kindly to people getting shitty with me and don't really know how to back down so I'm better off just not being an active participant in these threads so that they remain drama free for everyone else.
I will be watching on all access and seal clapping in my own little corner as the song continues to rise up the charts.
thanks nonny. I wasn't being passive aggressive. There were at least three comments about that single spin difference so I was saying I hope it didn't freak people out since I couldn't properly edit my original comment.
the purpose of this thread is to analyze data so if a number is off then people are going to notice and point it out. I don't think it was done rudely so there's no need to be defensive.

and sorry, IT WAS 1 SPIN!! it makes absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in the analysis of this song to be off by a single spin. Let's stop acting like it was off by a huge margin.

i'm with you this time, didn't find your post pa or anything. but i guess because you used to post some idolbert-y stuff (and by which i mean caring too much about who's right, who's wrong, etc.) people might just be a little more sensitive when it's your words.
i too find it tiring to always make it about who's right and who's wrong (rooting for this contestant and then developing hate towards others who're doing better - sounds familiar?). why not just relax and enjoy all the great things that are going on now. i mean, i dont really know you and i dont get to tell you what to do, but i've always thought you're a lovely person, hence the words above. no offence :)
I enjoyed bringing the numbers; that is why I initially started doing it when the song first went to radio. I was bringing over the spincrease and taking off numbers because I have a log in on all access and could get them when others maybe couldn't and people liked having the information so they could see what the song was doing before it hit the mediabase charts.
I am greatly enjoying watching this song grow and can't wait to celebrate its success.
Since I won't be posting the numbers anymore I wanted to let you all know that the all access chart updates around 7 a.m. est. so the numbers are available then if you have a log in; otherwise you can go to pulse around 9 a.m. and someone might have posted them in Adam's CHR/Pop thread for the song.
Silencefound, I just want to say I really appreciate what you've been doing on the numbers thread. It might seem nobody is acknowledging what u r doing right and only pointing out the mistakes, but I'm sure a lot of ppl here are grateful for what you and the others on numbers thread r doing.
And I don't think the nonnies were trying to attack u about the spin being off, but I do see how it may have come across that way. I also don't think you were trying to be pa in your reponse but see how it could have come across as such to others too.
Anyhow, I'm really happy about our numbers thread here and think the ppl updating and analysing it are doing a great job, and it would be good if we could all b a bit nicer to one another. Save it for wank if there's sth to be worked out personally. Coz stanning should ideally be fun for everyone. :)
