If you think your table mate robin was being polite, Id hate to see what you consider impolite. Firstly, how dare she think she can tell him what direction he should be going in professionally. Its his career. Not hers, not yours. He talks about pop music all the time. He loves pop music. POP POP POP…POP. You guys have created some fantasy in your heads where he is this rock god, but the truth is he is making the music he likes to listen to and if you dont like it, you can go buy someone else’s music. Secondly, he was clearly irritated and instead of letting him speak, she starts talking over him. Disrespectful. HE was polite, not her. He should get a medal for dealing with Robin’s nonsense with a smile. I hope you have the guts to post this and not decline it, but i get satisfaction just knowing someone read it

i think it makes sense for ppol to share why this is a problem as many fan places as possible so hopefully other out of touch fans see it. but i think going after the particular offenders at the cali meet and greets is kind of after the fact. but comments on the youtube is something that other repeat offenders might see and (wishful thinking) it might make them have a little hesitation. most of the time i think they just aren't aware of the rest of fandom and their friends cheer them on so...

as an aside there are so many tiny little fan sites that don't seem to know other sites exist (like i didn't know they exist) like that .org blog post. i feel like those are the places ppol are just rolling along with their habits from idol, don't know who shoshanna is maybe, don't know that mass requesting out of area isn't a good idea anymore, etc.
