Mary Wagnon Crump I'm old enough to be his grandmother, but have love his music and artistry since he first appeared on Idol. I always buy his music and can't wait for the new one.

Cheryl Lindsey I know how you feel , I am the same age as his mother. But I have loved him since Idol . His talent is amazing. I have all if his music and can't wait for Original High . I wish he and Queen would put a video or an album out from their tour

Janice Delight I am a great granma and have loved him since Idol also. Never to old to know talent and beauty.

Lorelle Hatcher I'm almost 69 years old and I've followed him since he auditioned for Idol. He is an awesome talent, intelligent, funny, kind, and humble. I never get tired of listening to him.

Yolanda Payne Dunn I could be his GrandMother too, but when he was in Biloxi and I stood 10 feet from him at the side of the stage, I was getting hot Flashes. lol

Sunny Knight I am a Grt Grandmother & I too appreciate Talent & looks. hmmm!

they were all over one of Attitudes post about his cover with nearly identical comments. There was a comment about why do all the grandmas need to announce their ages, do they want to give the impression hsi fans are all old etc. it was probably trollng, but mildly amusing.

why do they need to announce their ages? just be a fan. your age doesn't make you more learned or more of an expert.

i can never decide if they are trying to prove they are relevant, (look at me, i'm old but still have young taste!) or if it's an attempt at attesting to how wide his appeal is, as if that's some measure of his success, or that it would help his success.
either way it's odd.

either way, they are making it about them and not about him. i love that there are fans of all ages and backgrounds in the fandom. it can make for interesting discussions if the people involved have some knowledge of music. it's fun to hear people talk about when they saw queen in 1974 or led zep in 1972 or whatever. it's stuff i could not have experienced myself. but just waving your age around like a badge without something to add on to it off-putting to me.

and you guys are making it so much about your idea of what he needs that you don't care that you come across as a filthy bigots. Which of those is really the bigger ~crime?

I agree with your first two sentences, but your last sentence is clearly false. Unless, of course, you actually believe that teen and tweens are more learned and expert in anything vs college graduates and folks with decades of professional and life experience, etc. I mean anyone who doesn't know that years = expanded exposure and experience doesn't yet have much exposure or experience.

you can be very educated but not have paid attention to music for the last 20-30-40 years. that's fine but your age does not make you an expert on music.
