I'm curious. Who here likes Taylor Swifts new album?

I think it's really catchy with a lot of great songs. I'd like to see Adam's new album as something similar to it...but his own style of course.

i haven't heard it yet but i do like her as a person and i'm jelly of her promo and she seems fun on IG as far as i've seen since people will not stop retweeting her onto my feed lol

i've listened to all the snippits on itunes now and it's very cohesive. which makes it a bit boring to me. also it's very katy perry. that said, her voice isn't my cup of tea, i'm just not a fan of lots of female voices for some reason. but i can understand her success, especially with a younger audience.

still jelly of her promo budget tho ;)

In my opinion, she's much much better than Katy Perry. Her songs are better.

I really like listening to Katy Perry. I guess it's the different tone of her voice that doesn't make her songs annoying to me, even if I hear them several times a day on the radio, contrary to Swift's songs

i find her very annoying vocally. maybe bc i still remember her iTunes show from last year where she had like no breath control at all. gasping like a drowning...well something lol

idk much about taylor swift and what i do know makes me think she... would not be for me lol. but my niece is a huge fan. tbh my impression of katy perry is that she is pure product, and my impression of taylor swift is that she is an actual songwriter. maybe those impressions are incorrect, but with my limited knowledge those two ppol are not at all comparable in my mind

lol at actuall songwriter, taylor's new album is all pure product, same sound as all of katy's songs, in fact when she comes on the radio you can't tell who is who.

clearly you are not a fan but Taylor actually is a songwriter. Much like Pink, even when she works with co-writers or producers like Max Martin, you can still see her signature lyric patterns and basic song structure. The sound is nothing like Katy's sound and if you can't tell Taylor Swift from Katy Perry, time to get those ears checked. Katy sounds like a lot of current female singers and Taylor sounds like a few (incl country) but they don't sound anything like each other. Interesting how much disrespect female pop singers get - even or esp from female listeners

As far as songs go, I like more of Taylor's. I only like a very small number of Katy's songs.

on this album there are similarities on some of the songs with song structure and vocals
