The galas are all gala'd out and I can finally loosen my tie a little. :) Once again, it's been quite an eventful week. Last week, we went to the Out100 event in New York. It was a celebration of the hundred men and women belonging to sexual minorities who have made the biggest impact in the past year and given us all something to be proud of. Obviously, yours truly is one of that group! hahahaha! It wasn't the traditional type of gala event where you sit around a table and watch a show, but more of a cocktail party where you talk to people and network. Overall, it was very well organized and there were many familiar faces there as well.

It was lovely to visit New York again, but geez, I was frozen stiff as of course I don't have any winter clothes with me. NYC was 8 degrees and the rain was lashing horizontally from every direction so that you couldn't even hold an umbrella. Eight degrees is nothing compared to Finland of course, but I guess I'm a little too accustomed to the California warmth now. :) I'm already terrified of the cold in Finland, as I want to spend Christmas there. eep... Does anyone have ice fishing overalls for sale? :)

That was not the end of the gala events, however; there was another ”little” party to attend here in Hollywood on Sunday. ;) We went to the MTV Music Awards, which is held here once a year in the Nokia Theater. I was so excited to finally see this event live! My absolute favorite was Jennifer Lopez!! WoW!!! She's in her forties, and just look at the shape she's in!! I have no words. Another one I really liked was Kelly Clarkson. I have to say the entire show was an incredible experience.

I've walked red carpets and smiled till my jaw hurts, and lights will probably keep flashing in my eyes for another year. It's amazing to consider all the places life takes you sometimes, and what all you get to be a part of. I'm feeling content, but also exhausted. This week is Thanksgiving, which is the biggest holiday after Christmas. Thanksgiving is always November 24th. Might be a good time for a two-day fast, because Thanksgiving is going to be pretty much about eating turkey and other tasty things.

Till next week then, we'll see how close I can get to a barrel shape by then. Yum!
