Well yeah, I now fully expect Adam to debut with 30K albums sold … Chances that he will actually get a hit single aren’t that great. It’s just sad.
lol this bitch. excuse me, but how do they know all of this already? i mean yes im nervous, and this may very well happen. but omg they are so knowledgeable about the music industry they already know adam won't get a hit single? like wtf? and then in the same breath they keep repeating how cook's single is not stalled and it will be a hit. /im confuzzled
im loling so hard nonny. revolutionary music, controversial, real artist, misunderstood...never ends.
and then someone mentions that adele's 21 is all about the end of a love and also kinda depressing but is selling like woah and everyone ignores her.
anyways, going back to adumb, right? i mean yeah it is all up in the air, but to actually make an assumption already about not having a hit single? i dont know it got under my skin.
yeah, if i would want to troll, the first thing would be mentioning adele. voice but no looks (in a hollywood way, ofc, adele is plenty pretty), no scandals to sell records, can sing live, write songs about personal experience.
how is that so different from cook? and i would guess he has much bigger fanbase than adele
omg i think she is so so beautiful, but i understand your point. definitely.
i think they cant just admit that the album is just not very good ( from what i read from here, i didnt hear it) which i understand. geez i need to calm down, november is far away.
Idolberts are dumb. And who knows what will happen with Adam's album, but he's working with a number of people, like Bonnie McKee and BC Jean, who have been able to write song that are both really good songs and actual pop hits. Anything could happen, but that seems like a good sign for how Adam/RCA are approaching the radio thing. :33
Adam’s first album was more like what he did on the show-a variety of ballads and upbeat songs you can dance to.
There are a lot of people who posted that they expected Adam to lean more towards rock, and many people who have posted on this site that they don’t like the pop music that is on his album. These examples are just a small microcosm, but no one, with the possible exception of Kelly, has ever been able to avoid the erosion of their AI hardcore fans. The only way to deal with it is to make sure that the alums build up a base that extends beyond the idol bubble. While it’s true that Adam has the media attention on his side, I think the jury is still out on whether or not that attention made people aware of what type of music he is making, and brought people in as fans of his music, and not just fans of his celebrity.
elliegrl knows whats up tho. i need to stop reading this shit. what is that masochism? sadism? i get them confused
obvs he got the grammy nom because of his ~celebrity status~, not his voice and the ppl who like him don't actually like listening to/watching him sing
and if all the ppl who want him to be a rawkstar could gtfo, that would be lovely
