Ann's Birthday weekend
celestialblendr and bitterjoymoon came for the weekend, and completed their Yummy Chocolate Basil Cake with the Amazing Sweet Pesto Cream filling, for annoak's birthday, which is actually on the 15th.
We had a lovely picnic together with them and Ian at Willow Park, complete with the cucumber sandwich makings annoak had requested. The temperatures and weather this week helped make it a perfect day: Sunny with highs in the low 70's.
I took a mess of photos, which I have uploaded to a new Picasa web album (gosh, it sure it is faster than hand coding!) The cake, besides being incredible and a testament to the culinary skills and imagination of celestialblendr and bitterjoymoon, was perfect fodder for Food Porn photography.
