A young man was lying on the side of hill basking in the small circle of sun that made its way through the trees. He let his mind go blank as he enjoyed the quietness of the forest. Below him was a beautiful, clear lake that he was contemplating on whether to go for a swim in later or not. He took a deep breath as he sat up with a smile on his face only for it to be taken away. Down below by the lake, he saw the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his life. He was awestruck as he watched the young man slowly walk into the lake. The gorgeous man was completely under the water before he realized what was happening. He quickly got up and dove into the lake to save the other man.
The beauty was unconscious by the time he got there, so he quickly grabbed onto the other man and brought him to the surface before swimming towards the shore. He gently placed the man on the ground and checked to see he had stopped breathing before administering CPR. Soon enough, the young man began to cough up water, but almost immediately after he regained normal breathing, he began to sob uncontrollably. The man from the hill had no idea what to do about the sobbing young man in front of him, so he just wrapped his arms around the angel-like man in a comforting gesture causing the man’s cries to increase.
Once the man could no longer cry, he slowly pulled back with a sad smile. “Thanks. I’m Kamenashi Kazuya, by the way. Sorry for troubling you.”
“Oh, no problem, I’m just glad you’re safe. Um, I’m Akanishi Jin. It’s…it’s nice to meet you.” Jin managed to stammer out, still entranced by the beauty of the young man before him. They just stayed there for awhile before Jin asked a rather important question. “Hey, um, I don’t mean to pry, but what are you doing out here? And why did you just try to kill yourself by walking into the lake?”
Kamenashi gave out a cruel chuckle before answering in an inaudible whisper. “I lost the love of my life to the son of the man who killed my parents.”
“What?” Akanishi saw Kazuya’s mouth move, but couldn’t hear what the delicate lips were saying.
“Uh, never mind…it’s not important.” A reassuring smile found its way to the younger man’s lips, but it was obvious how forced it was.
“Um, ok. I….um…would you…um…well…should I take you home? I mean, just to make sure you’re safe and don’t try this again once I leave.” Akanishi said this to the ground, too afraid to look in the young man’s eyes.
A laugh barely escaped Kamenashi’s lips as tears began to gather in his eyes. “I don’t have a home to go back to anymore.”
“Oh,” Jin felt a little guilt for bringing it up, but then came up with a rather brilliant plan, at least in his opinion. “Hey, why don’t you just stay with me? You know…if you don’t mind spending time with a complete stranger.” Akanishi directed a hopeful smile at the young man in front of him.
“It’s okay; I don’t want to be a bother. I’ll just find a place to stay at an inn or something in the next town. You don’t have to worry about me. Trust me; I won’t try anything like this again.” The same reassuring smile presented itself on Kamenashi’s face once again. He wanted this Akanishi Jin just to leave him alone, and it wasn’t like he was lying either. He really would be just fine on his own. He has plenty of money and food on him. Plus, there was no way he was going to try to drown himself again. It took too long and left too much room for someone to intervene. Next time, he would go for something like poison or fire. They seemed much more reliable.
“No, it’s not okay. The next town is too far away and I can’t really trust you not to do this again. It’s no bother to me at all to take you in, so don’t worry about that either. There’s plenty of space to go around.” Jin would do just about anything at this point to be able to stay in the company of this beautiful stranger for even a second longer.
“But…”
Akanishi quickly interrupted the younger man. “No buts. You are staying with me and that’s final!” Before Kamenashi could do anything else, Jin got up, grabbed the other man’s hand and started to pull him towards his house. Kazuya just sighed. He was too tired and depressed to do anything at this point, so he decided to just play along with the older man for now. He would have plenty of chance to finish what he was doing later.
A/N: Finally I posted this! It was actually done awhile ago, but I was too lazy to post it, sry. I don't how often I'll update this or how long it will be, or really what's going to happen, but I'll try to make it as intersting as I can without failing too much. I hope you like it. By the way, Saturday's my birthday, and I'm kind of excited, but anyways, thanks for reading/commenting!
