Wow, though, Gerald certainly isn't giving up on the reverend thing. *cough* Sorry, I mean Nathaniel. Damien hasn't been a priest for a while.

Question: so, if I get this right, Damien's not really working, but living off of the "hush money" that the church gave him?

I can't wait for more! I love your style; it's reminiscent of the books, but it also has its own flair.

Gerald's going on the assumption that Damien is in Jaggonath and his child is in the church, so he must be a Priest again ;) And Damien was pretty much given compensation, because given how much he gave up to do what he had to do. Hopefully, I'll be able to clarify in the next chapter, but it's amazing how off-track things can go when a child is involved ;)

So he's just kind of a stay-at-home dad? Cool! Damien would be a great (single) househusband. I can totally picture him making smiley-face pancakes while wearing an apron.

My favourite image I'm stuck with at the moment is Jen, with her mop of curls, standing on a chair beside him at the stove and cooking with him :) And Damien, being very, very basic when it comes to cookery.

Yeah, totally. He probably still cooks like he's traveling, with like jerky and dried fruit and stuff. XD

They would learn as they go and he would feel bad about a local market trader staring at his baby teething on a piece of dried meat ;) He's try to learn to cook all for Jen :D
