this is so not the time
to be updating my livejournal, but i'm going to anyway. i am cracking under the pre-wedding pressure and throwing responsibility to the wind, or something.
my semi-amusing note of the day is that my mom has poison ivy. it is 3 days before our wedding and she has it on her arm and face. she has never gotten it before, but apparently brushed some while planting flowers in her yard yesterday.
everything else seems to be more or less ok though. i got a manicure and pedicure today. it felt fancy but i vowed about 8 times while i was there that i will never get a pedicure again. there are no sufficient means to describe how horrible the feeling of nail files is to me. (which is why i have never done this before).
in preparation for today's adventure i took a valium on the way to the salon. nevertheless, when the lady was filing my toenails i was literally digging my fingers into the chair as hard as i could and making awful seizure faces. (fortunately she did not look up while this was happening). i also didn't like the part where she was, like, trying to sand off my heel. my feet are delicate. their skin is somewhat firmer, but no rougher, than that of my hands. so it hurts to have them abraded.
that said, my toes look cute and the rest of it was pretty relaxing. i even got my eyebrows shaped (another girly first).
and with that, off to kinko's. program printing awaits.
