I *LOVE* the song choice--so quirky, so deceptively light and lyrically facilitating so many reflections on the twists and turns of the source. The line 'God doesn't always have the best goddamn plans' is a wonderful reflection on storytelling: God/fate as 'storyteller' but also the God-like role that authors/storytellers take on. And then we see the story run away from them when their less admirable or unconscious desires come out to play...

I also love the 'sons and daughters' title--that places both Alex and Roy on the same level, both prey to the 'hungry ghosts' (gah, awesome metaphor!).

Waaah! Oh and it is SO BEAUTIFULLY vidded! Wah! I want a big shiny shiny copy desperately... and I've only watched it once as yet! EEEEEE!!! SO MANY MORE HAPPY WATCHINGS AHEAD OF ME!!!
