Wow! I love how Florence is the stand-in for the fans, like how she's twirling with joy during the frenzy of kissing at the end. I love the excerpted vids, too. Such a great tribute to the song, the fandoms, the fans, and Florence all rolled into one! Love it!
A really wonderful use of so many media influences -- with Florence tying all the glorious bits together. There is so much to love and I really like the different cuts to all the different source material. I loved the inclusion of Buffy (and the comparisons to Twilight and SPN) for instance. The meta here is terrific. This is just a beautiful vid and I cannot wait to read your vidder's notes.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I had such fun bringing all these different sources together, and finding the connections between them. And how could I leave out Buffy & Angel?
I loved how that frenzy bit came together in the end; it felt almost impossible to bring all the different pieces into an even more amped up climax, but fortunately Florence is never short on emotion and awe and joy, so I could get it to turn up that extra notch. :)
Thank you! Mithborien's prompt got me thinking about all of the fans and fandoms that have been inspired by Florence and the Machine, and once I started going on that track, it took on a life of its own! I really wanted to communicate the joy and frenzy of fandom; so glad you liked it!
The concept was so unexpected and it was such an experience to be carried through these different fandoms through a backdrop of Florence. I think I need some time to dig through the layers. Very cool.
Also, if the person who I think it is didn't make this vid, I'll eat my shoe. Or should I say Loubs...
That was a serious gamble, right there. You must have been pretty sure, to stake your Loubs on it!
It was a trip working with all of these fandoms/vids, and finding the connections between them. Once the concept came to mind, it just took hold and wouldn't let go. I'm so glad that you got into the experience of it! Thank you! <3

I did write perhaps overly long-winded vidder notes here http://lolachrome.livejournal.com/86350.html?view=424526#t424526 if you want to check them out :)
