PETA believes that they can exploit and trample on anyone to "protect animals" when they, themselves are killing animals. In addition, they claim to be "people for the ethical treatment of animals" but they cannot even show this same "ethical treatment" towards their fellow humans. After Steve Irwin's death, PETA released a statment basically saying that he deserved his death. Also, "PETA does not believe in pet ownership. Their philosophy is that it is better for a dog or cat to be dead than to suffer as slaves to humans," PETA does not believe in seeing-eye dogs, PETA harrasses many businesses such as restaurants and food companies, PETA calls parents who feed their kids meat and milk products "child abusers" when children need these nutrients, PETA also supports violence and terrorist activity, and there's probably a lot more.
Is it right to harrass and impede on the rights of other people and kill animals all for the sake of promoting the "ethical treatment" of animals?
Is it right for animal rights activists to release animals from farms, where they can live longer, into the wild, where they die within days? Yes, farms are wrong. However, releasing them into the wild where they cannot fend for themselves is also wrong. There is always another way.
Is it right for PETA to release a campaign called "Holocaust on Your Plate," comparing the treatment of animals to the Holocaust? And comparing farmers to Hitler? The Holocaust and the symbol of the Swastika should not be lightly flung around.
Is it right for PETA to use unfounded claims and inappropriate examples in their campaigns? One of many unfounded claims: PETA famously suggested that drinking milk causes cancer.
One of many inappropriate examples: Putting one of the prostitutes killed on the Pickton farm next to a pig with the caption "Neither of us is meat."
