I haven't had a Spring Break since I graduated from college. While I was in college, the first two years I stayed home during the break. Then during my junior year, my two friends and I decided to go to Florida for the week. We went to Walt Disney World, Circus World, Sea World and basically basked in the sun and took it easy. Nothing wild...we didn't flash our breasts or drink ourselves silly.
Since I now work at an university, I have to follow their breaks. I work as a tutor, so...no students means no tutoring. Last year I spent my spring break at home. This year's spring break was rather interesting. The first half of the spring break was devoted to moving to our new apartment in Takoma Park. We got lucky and found a 2-bedroom apartment for $712/month, which is a GREAT deal!
During the second half of the spring break, I went to upstate New York to meet my fiance's parents and his friends. It snowed when we arrived, and it started to snow again as we were leaving. It felt strange to see the snow on the ground in March...I can't remember the last time I saw that much snow on the ground in Maryland/DC/VA area during the month of March. I have no doubt people from up North or Canada will laugh at me for saying all of this. :-P
Anyway, I'm tired and I'm happy. Spending the whole week with Erick was wonderful. He may not have gotten to see the bikini-clad girls of Ft. Lauderdale and/or had the chance to drink himself silly on a beach somewhere with other beer-swilling dudes, but I like to think he had a good time with me. :-)
