Don't know about being cool!

I tried Medifast for about a month. I have to say...I didn't like it because I never got over the pre-ketosis tired feeling. My doctor suggested it because I needed to lose weight before surgery. I lost the weight...I was just tired and cranky the entire time.

I'd definitely try it though if I were you. It's cheaper than surgery...and it will give you a bit of a "preview" of how you'd have to eat if you got the band or bypass. The meals are small...and frequent. I stuck to chicken or steak and salad for dinners...and found myself sick of steak for the first time in my life.

I do recommend sticking to the chocolate flavored items...and pre-mixing puddings and soups ahead of time. I'd make two or three puddings...keep them in the fridge....and the texture was much better the next day. Same with soups...I'd mix them up one day...then heat them the next.

But...if you stick to it...it works. Just make sure to go straight off the Medifast plan into something like Weight Watchers. Because it helps you lose weight...it doesn't teach you how to keep it off like Weight Watchers does.
