So nice to be home

Well on Thursday I discovered we were having a family vacation....give me much notice lol?

Friday- Left the house at like 1:00. We made a pit stop at MSU campus to "give me a tour". It was more for mom who wanted to reminisce then for me the future incoming student (hopefully). It made me laugh It was crazy! People were already moving in and stuff. We stopped at mom's old dorms, Akers and Yakeley, at Akers there was a really nice security guard who showed us one of the rooms. wow. They are REALLY SMALL. After that we went to a book store and came out with complete sticker shock, and we didn't even buy anything lol. We looked at all the student housing. Found the house where mom stayed her last couple years at school. It was yellow and ugly.

Speaking of yellow. I had a scoop of yellow ice cream that night, when we arrived in beautiful Montague, MI. It was  vanilla died yellow with sugar cookie chunks. Twas good. ANYWAYS, Montague is also home of the biggest weather vane in the world. That was cool?

We arrived at the hotel and discovered we had been given a whirlpool suite. Which normally would be cool. But in this case it wasn't...at all. The stupid builders decided that the whirlpool should be open to the whole room, so they made a big hole in the bathroom wall. Only a shower curtain shielded you from the awful sights (and sounds) that wen on in there. EW.

Saturday- We ended up going to Michigan's Adventure. It was really CROWDED. Wow we waited in line for EVERYTHING. We started at the water park, but it was cold and the lines were really long, so I mostly sat and attempted to tan. That didn't work out so well (probably because I was in the shade) so I found my parents and Abby. I did a couple slides and stuff with them, but they weren't really worth the wait. We got dressed and headed to the main park. We rode a couple rides. Abby got a hair wrap while Dad and I had a ski ball competition (I totally kicked his butt). I won a sympathy prize from the guy at the ring toss game. Dad got bags and bags of kettle corn. Then we left. Long Day.

Today- My mother became the self-proclaimed expert waffle-maker, giving unneeded advice to anyone who approached the waffle cooker thingy at the breakfast bar today. Watching her made me laugh. After breakfast we headed out to Blue Lake to pick up Mallory. Its really dusty and sandy there. Its really boring too. Doesn't seem like much fun. Not gonna lie.

Anyways, Mall was in Symphony band, which was the highest band in the session. That's pretty good. She was also quite excited that she was asked to the dance.  A trumpet player named Colin, he bought her flowers. A keeper in my opinion. But remember kids, No touching, touching leads to babies.  I thought the flip-over-your-name-tag-if-you've-been-asked system was pretty funny. Mallory was so impressed with herself she never flipped her name tag back...even though the dance was yesterday.

So yeah I'll be around all week
if you want to play give me a call
