What I have learned from my first year of college

To those of you entering your first year of college next semester:

I am about to share some wisdom with you from what I have learned after surviving my first year of college.

-Your sleeping schedule will drastically change
-Most likely you will have an all-nighter experience
-While it may seem like you have tons of free time, it will be wasted and you will procrastinate worse than ever
-Do not expect your roommates to be your best friends. If they become your best friends, you are one lucky person
-No matter what, you are never going to be alone
-The temptation to skip classes will become greater the longer you are at school
-TAKE AFTERNOON/NIGHT CLASSES. I cannot stress this enough. If you can, avoid morning classes at all costs
-Your major will change every five minutes
-You will get sick of Easy Mac and Ramen quickly...but you will not be able to live without it
-When you go home, walking 2 feet to the kitchen to get something to eat will be a luxury
-The freshmen fifteen is a myth, unless you drink. I ended up LOOSING weight
-There will always be people way smarter than you in all your classes
-There will always be that one dumbass who has to either argue with the professor or feels the need to point out something irrelevant and extremely stupid
-Naps will take priority over hygiene
-Wearing PJs to class is 100% acceptable
-Hall bathrooms are the most disgusting places in existence
-Listen to what the juniors and seniors have to say. They carry much wisdom
-Sit in the front of your classes. I guarantee you will not pay attention if you're in the back
-Your lifestyle will become way more spontaneous
-If you like your roommates at the beginning of the year, you will HATE them by the end of the year
-The month from hell will change from May to April
-Your stress level will increase drastically
-If you go to a large school with many people, you will grow to hate housing with a fiery passion
-Only transfer if you REALLY hate being at your school. Otherwise it is a huge pain in the ass
-Construction is the work of the devil

There's probably a lot more that I've forgotten, but basically, that is the wisdom I wish to share with you. Hopefully you will find some of it helpful as you enter into an entirely different era of your lives. Trust me, it's going to be a wild ride.
