so very tired....
We checked into a better hostel this morning at 9. Besides meals, we never got off our feet until we returned at 10pm. This post will be short....the internet is free but there are about a dozen Australians playing drinking games in the next room.
We started the day off with a short bus ride to the catacombs. We arrived during the lunch break so we read our books in the grass. Ashley is reading the Da Vinci Code and Kyle is reading Another Roadside Attraction.....viva Tom Robbins. Anyway, the catacombs were kind of a let down because we wanted to see bones, but all the vacant dug-outs were creepy enough on their own. I believe we saw tombs belonging to the first 9 Popes. It was all very dark, cool and musty.
After that, we went and saw the colosseum and the Roman forum.....all impressive, large and fantastic. Stay tuned for details.....
