Authorities are looking for the person responsible for an overnight hit-and-run.
State Police say a motorist saw a man lying in the middle of County Road in the town of Clarence a little after 3AM.
Officers say the motorist was turning around to go help the man but before they could another vehicle came down the road and ran over the man.
That second vehicle is described as a dark pickup truck but investigators say it likely won't have any visible damage.
"We suspect there's possibly undercarriage damage. It's not going to have any damage on the front of the truck, as it was probably high enough to go over. There will be no fender damage or bumper damage," said Sgt. Joseph Mullen.
The victim, 20-year-old Kyle Regan of Akron, is listed in critical condition at ECMC.
