I cannot afford a DSLR. A Sony A100 seems to be the least expensive piece of hardware available. After adding the cost of lenses, a flash, and a remote shutter, the total cost would still approach a thousand dollars. My solution is to return to 35mm. The cost and inconvenience of film developing will be annoying, but still seems worthwhile. I already have a Minolta flash and two MD mount lenses (50mm and 138mm). If I can find a working XG-M body on eBay, I should be good to go. Bodies seem to be selling for between $30 and $85 nowadays, plus shipping.
