Trying to decide whether it's a good idea to quote directly from `canon' source when writing fanfiction. I think if it's a catchphrase or otherwise reiterated, well OK. If not, it's usually irritating and seems lazy. When other people do it that is, when I do it's entirely appropriate and amusing. Yah. Hmm.
