Writing out the health foods I enjoy reminds me how much I'm not eating what I should. What I need to be feeling well mentally and physically.
I already made my goal this week to drink enough water. Next week my goal is going to the grocery store and buying as much of the following foods as possible so that I can make my own lunches so that I'm not buying fast food while I'm working.
fruits:
100% fruit juice
apples
oranges
tangerines
watermelons
honeydews
strawberries
blackberries
bananas
pineapples
grapes
kiwis
vegetables:
corn
cucumbers
raw spinach
romaine lettuce
bell peppers
onions
carrots
tomoato sauce (watching the sodium level of course)
starches:
whole wheat pitas, bagels, pasta, tortillas
cereal
potatoes (don't give me crap about the potatoes)
dairy:
light yogurt
skim milk
cheddar cheese
meats:
boneless skinless chicken breasts
lean sirloin
90% lean ground beef
turkey (white meat)
extra:
light ranch and italian dressings
sugar free jelly
splenda sweetener
snacks:
baked tortilla chips with salsa
light popcorn
puffed soy chips
frozen yogurt
