Finally got round to ripping, cutting and posting the concerto I played in on Youtube:

Movements 1, 2 and 3.

Has been a busy morning. After going to bed at about 3pm after getting caught up in a movie, I got up at 7 to get to the doctor's at 8:30. Was going to meet Ruthie at 9 before we both bugger off to uni, but ended up leaving the surgery at 10 because it was so busy. I am now armed with a buttload of strong antibiotics, and am taking two different types three times a day each. One of them has an absolutely foul aftertaste.

Also sorted out an issue with the electricity metre in Brums (it has been read wrongly by the last guy so we ended up being overcharged, and I only found out when the latest reading turned out to be a smaller number than the last one... found some old bills in my bag that I used as evidence so I could recite figures as well as exact dates that I noted in my diary, go me. Next time the metre reader comes round I will keep a hawk eye out... I'm glad I've sortted it out, and going to the doctor's, they were just another thing on my mind on top of exam worry (am starting to get scared now) and other niggles that have been eating at my brain.

It's weird how well I can deal with high levels intense nonstop stress (at least externally, I'm not made out of iron as I would prefer to be. XP No-one's made out of iron), but how long, drawn-out periods of boredom with the promise of short sharp stress really gnaws at the stuff that keeps me together. Take Sixth Form and end of uni terms, for example- utter diary and timetable and deadline mayhem, but I can usually cope, because I have to. A couple of small, insignificant things? OH NOES GUNNA DIE etc etc. I'm glad that I have stuff to look forward to afterwards.

Mind you there was a very, VERY scary few months in my last year at Habs when I had grade 8 flute, DipABRSM piano AND the concerto all around each other. In fact, that was a very scary year, seeing as I more or less started practice for these three things at approximately the same time. I remember not being able to think about them altogether and only being able to think of one or the other, in case my brain melted.

All of this reminiscing is going to make my brain melt, in a minute. *gets arse back to work, where I should be*
