In order to attract readers to my webnovel, I have started advertising on comic-nation. com using Project Wonderful. This is an advertising system that uses an ongoing auction. You decide the most you are willing to pay per day for your ad to appear, when and where you would like it to appear, and the total budget for your ad. If at any moment, yours is the high bid for a particular ad location, your ad appears and you are charged, but the minute you are outbid, it doesn't. The space I am bidding on is pretty cheap - my bid is 10 cents / day and it is usually the high bid; however, I have noticed an unusual pattern. From time to time I am outbid (20 cents / day) - but generally only for about an hour at a time. Yesterday, for example, there were five separate hours when somebody else's ad appeared in place of mine. I find it curious that some people believe that certain hours are especially valuable enough to pick them out like this.
