Hmmm... too true in most all respects.

Lets101 Quizzes - Fun Quizzes

Yikies... Thanksgiving blew by like a robby rocket. But wait, i digress.

AnimeUSA... HELLA AWESOME

Getting to and from AnimeUSA... HELLA SUCKAGE!

Seriously... lets see.... Had a blowout on the way up in the Noobie Games R/V, and it took 3 hours to get repaired! Not to mention all the other...minor... issues with the R/V. Ultimately arrived there @ 2hrs before we were supposed to open (instead of late night the night before like originally planned). Then more fun during setup (blew the power breakers 3 times). Ultimately, once everything was setup and running, it went smoothly. And, despite a lot of issues with the con that others shared with me, i had a blast and, IMO, this was the best con i've been to this fall (since AI in early august). Had an OMFG moment in artist alley. While flipping through a portfolio (which i thought was really good) came across a print of the giant artwork of Naruto Team 7 that hangs in my bedroom. Which was followed by: *points accusing finger at artist* "YOU were at Anime Weekend Atlanta last year!" *artist replies yeah* "You had a poster sized print of this there" "I BOUGHT IT!!!" Yup, this was the artist who i bought my 2nd most favorite piece of art from (and incidentally started me collecting anime art). Really cool little moment for me.

Otherwise, it was really nice being able to go to a con where im not already known. I was pleasently surprised to find that the average age of the con goers at AUSA was (imo) 3 or 4 years older than that at florida cons (or at least the last few cons ive been to). In other words, im not saying there werent a lot of high schoolers there, but there seemed to be a lot of older (20-30 something) fans as well. And i did get to spend quite a bit of time with Richard and Ellen.

Almost forgot, the R/V broke a belt on the way back just outside of Deltona and gave up the chost completely. Special thanks to Angie for playin Taxi for me (and Jason for playin go-between)

Actually went to see Beowulf last night with Kent and Carlos. I dont spend nearly as much time hangin with friends as i'd like to. I know part of that is that lately ive been out of town a lot, but its good to reconnect with peoples.

Anime Supercon is next on the Fuzzycon tour. This weekend to be precise. Due to a cancellation in the schedule, i was able to put forth a proposal to run a panel that was accepted. Sooo, Saturday night at 11:00pm, I'll be co-hosting (along with Tiffany Grant) the "Tales of Con Horror" panel. Actually, i originally proposed this as a "Tales From the Con" panel, as just an hour or so to sit around and share some of my more...interesting...stories (of course, everyone always wants to hear the cooler story, but the legend f "Stranger Dan" is a good one that i tend to forget about until someone digs up a picture). Eviedently, the higher ups at Supercon think a panel about horror stories will be more of a draw, especially with the uber-talented Tiffany with me. Sooo, IF youre headin to Anime Supercon, and IF youre not plannin anything big saturday at 11, i'd love to have ya stop by.

all for now
