Okies... couple of updates...

Sooo...lets see, this week busy as usual. Couple of interesting things tho.

Tuesday, after work at Playhouse, i swung by the Halloween orror Night auditions at Universal. I've been wanting to put in for an Assistant Stage Manager position for HHN, and they were supposedly conducting interviews from 6pm-8pm. Well, i got there at 7:40, and the guy conducting the interviews had already left for the night. Well, thats not really as bad as it seems. After being told i could drop off my resume and an application and it would be forwarded to him, as i was filling out the application i made some small talk wioth the security guard on duty there. Seems that the reason the guy had left early, was that there werent a lot of applicants for the ASM positions and so he got bored and left. Soo...better odds for me. Also, you know i dont really think of myself as having done a lot, but when i actually sat down and updated my resume...crap... ive done a ton of stuff in the last 8 years between Disney, Universal, and Nickelodeon.

Sooo...Yeah, there was that. the other big thing is...

Went to an Audition yesterday for Disney Holiday Performers (Equity Performers), and.... i got a CALLBACK!!! This was the audition i've been putting off going to for years. Equity Performers at Disney are the peak disney performers (Streetmosphere, Indianna Jones Stuntmen, Pleasure Island Dancers, ect.) Even thou ive had a lot of people ive worked with over the years say 'why havent you auditioned for Equity" and "dude, you should audition for Equity!", well, ive never really felt completely ready to. And the worst thing, in my mind at least, is to go in front of the casting directors unprepared, and have their first opinion of me be a sucky one. Well, not this time. This time, i finally felt ready.

So i went to the audition. I was hoping to get one of the holiday storytellers in Epcot (preferrably Norway), and ultimately, id LOVE to be one of the World Showcase Players in Epcot. And, long story short, i have a callback on thursday of next week for MAC. Now... i have NO CLUE what or who MAC is, or whether its even a holiday role, or a yearly thing. But hey, if its Equity at disney, and they want me to do it, i'll do it. Just need to ask some of my friends at Disney who are already equity performers as to what it is.

Soo...yeah, to say that totally made my day would be an understatement. More like, made my week, month, year all rolled into one. Especially ater hearing my friend Dora, who did Midsummer with me a couple of years back, tell me about how she auditioned 9 times before she finaly got something. But...first time out! WOOT!!!!! The only thing was, the auditon went wayyy longer than i expected, and i barely made my first show at Nickelodeon and got 'counseled' for it. I was drivin down the road, callin my manager every 3 or 4 minutes "IM COMING!!...IM ON MY WAY...IM IN THE PARKING LOT..." Ehhh... if thats the price i have to pay, so be it.
