Delusion

Soaring through the sky,

In my heart

And in my mind.

Through actions I see you’re fading away,

But I reach out

And hope you’ll stay.

Forbidden love is what I crave

For you to make me stay the same.

For you I crave more and more

My actions change and I become floored

For you I change, my worth is challenged

But for you my heart remains balanced

I try and try and try to be,

A better person, for you, not me

I strive and blossom more and more

For you to one day see who it’s for.

Everything I do for you

Just so that one day you may see

That who you need…

Is me.

Become mine forever throughout time.

I hold you in my arms

And wish you were mine.

Dancing together throughout the night,

Our bodies together,

We take flight.

Soaring through clouds of emotion

And swimming through the seas of commotion.

Stronger and stronger I hope we grow.

My clouded mind hopes so.

Dreams and fallacies go through my head.

Desires and hopes fill me with dread.

Delusion, filling throughout time.

There’s a chance we will never be,

Never have that you,

And me.
