I think there is a certain feeling behind art that you need to get. It involves not trying too hard, and just going with the flow.

If you think too hard then your product will look too contrived and not organic and natural enough. Take Chinese brush painting for example, it's very simple - yet very expressive art. Each brush stroke has an intentions. If you're drawing a fish, you make each line with the essence of the flowing water across it's body. If you're drawing a tree, you draw the wind lightly brushing across the trickling leaves.

Art is emotionally driven, if not a heavily practiced and learned skill. These things can be utilized cooperatively or on their own with varying results.

For me, personally, I need to be honestly and truly content within my own skin to be able to create something that I think is acceptable to even exist. I would gladly burn 99.8% of all my art if that 1.2% was something I was completely happy with.

I know that will never happen, though.

I know I will never be content with anything I create. I will always, always, always see room for improvement.

This, I've been told, is a good thing.

We'll see.
