AN UPDATE!!!!!

Mar 06, 2006 16:38

Its Been awhile, i kno. And maybe you've come 'round every now and then to see whats new, if anything. Those nights were even the ubiqutous MySpace has lost its charm (after refreshing 32 times in a row to check for updates, where the Crossword was too boring, online pinball too mundane, maybe, just maybe you wandered over yonder to see if maybe, just maybe, i had updated, only to incure further disapointment and depression.

WELL the day has come, and you can read of the wonderful tale that has been Sam's recent life.

SO IT IS (at the moment)
Sarah's doing a Sociology project, coat of arms, and using my printer for the pictures(hers is broken.) In the process i've realzied how much i want to visit India.

I've heard so many intriguing stories from this ememrging nation. what first got me was a picture i saw of the HUGE tea farm, in India. Which seemed to strecth for miles. The prestine beauty of these hills of lush foilage simply astounded me. then i decided to study the religions.Hindu and Buddhism are too oftne misunderstood by us westerners and i felt compelled to try to further my knowledge. Hinduism is quite complex and i was admittantly surprised by the shear size of literature(though this makes sense, Hindu being the oldest surviving religion.)So i focused more on Buddhism. Im not going get into details, but i highly suggest reading "The Buddhist Bible." Its a book of basic writings and early documents outlining the tenets of the religion. A few things i needed to clarify however. BUDDHA IS NOT GOD. infact the historical buddha (Siddartha Gautama) denied the existance of one. Buddha (Gautama) was also profuse in making it sure that HE was not revered more so than he should be. BUDDHISM IS NOT CHINESE. it is Indian in origin, and the Chinese version of Buddhism (Mahayana) has many different practices and beleifs. BUDDHA AINT BIG BONED. the fat or belly buddha western culture has embraced is a chinese Buddhist Saint, not Buddha himself, Buddha was actually a very thin (as he did not eat much) and Indian.
I've also been trying to look into Existential philosophy. Been Reading Kafka, Ionesco, and wnat to read other. Existentialsm actually seems to have much simalrity with Buddhism, Hinduism(explaining my interest)

sorry to bore you.

Sarah and i both go to the same school now, and its made life much easier. something to look forward to after class, and after school. I ALSO drive! Ah the yearlong struggle for a license(sp) has finally ended, and the life-long peril of Gas prices and insurance has begun. Getting places for me and sarah to go is a heck of a lot easier though. AND this can certainly be appreciated.

well, Sarah's getting bored and thinks iam giving the computer too much attention. (this update was her idea) So back to my Love, I shall go. I think were going to enjoy a diner with her mother(not so much enjoyment there really) and her neice alyssa (Much Cuter.)

maybe ill be back soon with some newer news and views and stews, but no blues, because i see sarahs pretty blue shoes.
