I wrote it like that because I was leaning it on how they both behaved on that first date. Carl was the nervous one there and so unsure while Adam was totally in the picture of what was going on. So, it had to be Adam as well who says the three little words first. I like it when Carl gets all unsure about the whole thing. But never again now :D
