AS Mocks in a week!! Argh!! >.<;;

that's the sound of my head hitting the desk btw
My entire next week - given I'm now on half-term hols - is revision for AS mocks. I'm actually terrified. I am so unprepared it's not even funny. >.<
Anyways, good news: we won the second round of the Public Speaking competition, so we'll be taking part in the third round in March (there are five rounds total, fifth being National). It was terrifying but it went ok (obviously!) ^^ We completely beat those Charterhouse boys d(^^)b Dahaha XDXD Kirsty was hilarious - she cornered one of them and ranted at him about feminist issues for like 10 minutes, and this guy from Guildford County was like "... Does she hate men or something?" Their speech was really good though (and they go through too, 'cos they came 2nd). Is it just me, or is everyone at these things either a) REALLY British b) REALLY nerdy or c) both?
I've also been asked to write a history essay for some competition - I'm really looking forward to it, it gives me an excuse to buy a load of books. You can write on anything, so of course I did the historical issue I'm obsessed with at the moment:
Were the Liberals really involved in the trial of Oscar Wilde, and if so, why?
- exploring the allegations against Lord Rosebery made by the Marquis of Queensbury, the Cleveland Street Scandal and the alleged involvement of several leading Liberals as well as Prince Albert Victor, the threat Oscar Wilde's homosexuality bore to late Victorian politics and the truth behind Rosebery's relationship with Drumlanrig.
I'm getting SERIOUSLY excited about this. I keep forgetting it's meant to be for a competition and just doing it for the fun of it.
Yes. I am a nerd. And I love it ^^
I wish we could study stuff about that kind of thing in school... I know all about it and it's utterly useless, really... Maybe I should study history at uni... I wish I could study Japanese, history and English at uni!! But I can't T^T Maybe I should be one of those people who goes to uni multiple times... But I'm not rich enough...
Eheh... Ok, enough rabbiting now. More revision. Right.
