Yeah... Because I was thinking, it would sound a bit weird if it were an American person saying all the rather British words. Like git. It's like a British person saying dude. Just doesn't work XD
We have Stephen Fry, who I love as he's like the cleverest person in England. And very gay. And Oscar Wilde reincarnated. ^^
Wow. That sounds like my week/fortnight from hell. GOOD LUCK!!! I'm sure you'll be fine.
I'm kind of glad we don't have the speech thing. The Head Girl just gets CHOSEN. And then asks if she wants to be Head Girl. And usually, she says yes.
But we do have interhouse debating in 2 weeks or something. Fun. It used to be just a public speaking thing but now the school has gone all DEBATING CRAZY!! and it became "Interhouse Debating".
But I steer WELL clear of that so I'll just pretend to listen.
I saw Desperate Housewives!! Did you see it?? It was GOOD. But I saw one thing coming at the end of the last season. But I am proud that I was RIGHT. So...YES. I think I said too many "but"s just then. But oh well!!
I have to go and revise French now. An entire syllabus in approximately 45 minutes. Here goes nothing :P
Ha... it's my fortnight from hell. But I guess I'll just have to survive it...
We used to have InterHouse Debating at Junior School... Now we just have InterHouse Sports (hockey, netball, rounders, swimming and tennis) which I of course take no part in, and InterHouse Arts which I fear with a passion.
YES I did see Desperate Housewives. God, I love that programme XD I saw some of the stuff coming too, though... I like Zach T^T Hope he's ok... And I loved Brie at the funeral. That was so sad.
I'm not having a great fortnight either :S We just had Maths. Usually, I find Maths okay, but this exam was so hard!! I think we're doing all the exams you would have done last year.
In the funeral scene I started going "Oh no she wouldn't....yes she would...no...yes...OMG she IS!!!". But it was sad. I agree. I think my favourite line was:
"I got Photoshop for Christmas!!".
I was sad that John had been taken off the opening credits. Because I really liked him. Even though he is usually not my type. DH is actually one of the only shows that makes me laugh out loud!! It's so good :) And to think I only discovered it last month! The shame!
dude i'm totally in the same boat as you except that i have slighly less speaking in public more coursework and except for the total lack of boat ^^ i've decided to give up caring about public embarresment i've done it before and i'll do it again no one gives, breath it in and remember the moment
DH was totally amazing, this series is gonna be odd... Everyone knows ALL british are gay period, so all tha's no real news
Yes, all British writers are gay. So are British actors and artist. But artist are gay everywhere, and Swedish swimm-team members are more gay than Brittish actors
( ... )
I haven't really been physically busy... I should study though. * aweary sigh* My poor lil' brain... All overheating and in danger to explode...
So, you still call it CV? Okay.. :) I kinda wasn't sure if you called it that before work-life.
Well, if they choose you as Head Girl, I will be incredibly proud of you. I will also be increadibly amused... XP
How many episodes are there per season?
I don't remember how old I was when I read Dorian Gray... But it was while ago, I must confess. ^^' Maybe I should read it again and see what the adult me gets out of it.
Are you suer you typed your name right? Another friend accidentally typed two 'i's to her name and that's why the map wouldn't work for her at first... But it's okay. ^_^I would've just liked to have a nae in the UK. too! Lol! :D
Unless the teacher is grading you on how you present your topic to your peers, don't worry about the little buggers. If they want to be idiots, let them. Worry more about impressing your teacher with your wit, maturity, and insight on a topic that many people your age titter and blush about.
Oh, and a portfolio of some of your better papers and newspaper clippings about your accomplishments, award certificates, etc. is a great idea for university entrance interviews. I wish I had thought of that.
Yeah, it went ok actually. They just sat there and I gave a farily watered down version of what the book was about. They all have copies of my 7 pages of notes on it ^^ So if they want to read more, they can.
Thanks for the tip! I'm not sure if we're allowed to take things like that into interviews in England... I'll have to check...

Do you have an American reading them then? Or a British guy?
