Epcot n Stuff

So, I went to Epcot Center on Friday. It was awesome. No, it may not be as fun as the Magic Kingdom, but it was nice and the crowd wasn't too bad and I had major nostalgia..which is always nice. The park is split into two parts. You have Future World and World Showcase. It was awesome seeing the huge golf ball again, which is actually a ride called Spaceship Earth. Though it looks intimidating than Space Mountain, it's probably the slowest ride known to mankind lol. Without knowing anything about the park it looks like it would be a ride akin to Space Mountain. But this park is all about educating people about different aspects of technology. Spaceship Earth is about the evolution of society from the cavemen times to when the world wide web was invented. There are a couple of thrill rides. The Test Track is the best. I went on it twice in a row. After going through various testing processes that cars go through before being put on the market, you go on a joyride on a racetrack around the building. It's awesome.

Mission: Space was cool, but I had to be on the green team because my dad has heart problems (the green team is a less intense version, with no spinning involved). I went back to ride the regular version of the ride (which is the same except you spin and the spinning simulates a force of 2.5G, meaning it the gravity force is more than twice the Earth's gravity and makes you feel 2.5 times heavier.) It's more of a centrifuge ride (think Star Tours meets the Gravitron). That version has made people sick and I believe Disney was sued a couple of times because a people have died on it. Anyways, the line for that one was 80 minutes and I just didn't feel like waiting. Maybe it's good that I didn't get on it, because the last time I went on the Gravitron at the fair, I got sick. But, I kind of wanted to because it's an experience I don't know if I'll have again for a very long time. It's a cute ride because each person is assigned a flight duty such as commander, navigator, etc and you have to press buttons and stuff. The cool thing was seeing Gary Sinise on the screen.

The Seas With Nemo and Friends is soooooooooooooo cute. The Nemo submarine voyage was loosely based on The Seas With Nemo and Friends. Only on The Seas With Nemo and Friends, the characters swim with real sealife (including dolphins) and rather than going underwater, it's basically an aquarium. I love the song. It's insanely cute. This attraction used to be The Living Seas and they still have the cool aquarium exhibit once you get off of the ride, where you can see different types of sealife including manatees. It's fun.

World Showcase was neat too. There are small representations of different countries. Lets see if I can name them all. There's Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the USA, Japan, Morocco, France, the UK and Canada. Japan was awesome. The shop had anime stuff and other Japanese imports. Of course I didn't buy any of it because it was all expensive (it is Disney World afterall). But they had Bleach, Naruto, Pokemon and others. Morocco was pretty. I went there to see if I could find Aladdin and Jasmine but they weren't out yet. If I had waited a few more minutes, I probably would have seen them. It was hot though and we had a fast pass for Soarin' that we had to use. It's a good thing we got the fast pass too, because the average wait for that ride is between 75 and 115 minutes.

Journey Into Imagination was my favorite ride when I was 3. I LOVED Figment! That ride has changed though. They took out the Dreamfinder and put Eric Idle's character in Honey I Shrunk the Audience in it. But at least they still have Figment. I love him. I bought a Figment plushie for my little niece.

South Park spoofed the Dreamfinder in the Imaginationland episode and they kind of spoofed the song too lol. *sings* imaaaaagination imaaaaagination.

*sings* in the biiiig bluuuue woooorld

.

This is from Living on the Land..it's a slow moving ride that takes you through Epcot's greenhouse and fish farm. This park grows their own veggies for their restaurants.

Squeeeee Figment. I bought him for my niece. I have one from 20 something years ago.

So I finished buying souveniers for my nieces and nephew. I got the youngest one a Figment from Epcot. I got the boy a space shuttle playset and my older niece a necklace from Ron Jon Surf Shop. So yay..I think I am done. I'm just gonna relax the rest of the time. I think we're going to see the Peabody ducks in Orlando on Friday. We're having a BBQ on Saturday and we're possibly going to the beach on Sunday.

This was taken yesterday at the river outside my dad's house!
