One of my philosophy professors is so old that I'm afraid he'll die during class one day. He must be at least 90. We're all afraid to turn a page in our notebooks, because the crinkle of the paper drowns out his slow, quieter-than-a-whisper voice. He speaks and thinks so fucking slowly, albeit with the specificity and clarity you'd expect from an emeritus philosophy professor who has probably been teaching for 70 years. Cool looking course, but it's unbearable.
