Dear those who thought I died,
Guess who? I'm back! Not entirely, but somewhat. Today I knocked down two assessments; a research report and essay for Ancient History and an in-class essay for English. Now I have two more assessments -- no, three, just that the third one hasn't been assigned to us yet -- for this term and then it'll be my break in late June! Or was it early July? I really need to check when's my next school break; I'm assuming it's early July though. Anyway, I should be less busy from now till August, hopefully.
I've been really tired lately as one can probably tell from the above, but I'm managing. After my...about three or four month break from scanlating, I've finally managed to work on a few. It wasn't at my usual pace -- when I first started scanlating, I finished my projects within a day or two -- but I finished about three or four projects in three weeks even with all the stuff going on around here, so I say that's pretty good. It's a start, at least, and I feel proud about it.
So... It looks like Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is finally moving along somewhere in the series, but... I've stopped looking at its doujinshi section for months now. The sections I've been browsing are Code Geass, Magi, Kuroko no Basuke, Natsume Yuujinchou and Lucky Dog 1. For the latter three, I'm aiming for specific circles (sort of) so I don't think I'll have to worry too much about funds as much as I should for Code Geass and Magi. There's a whole lot I want for those two fandoms.
Ah, speaking of doujins... Two days ago my dad found a small stash of 'em under my bed. He said he was cleaning underneath my bed since he was certain a lot of dust must have collected there by now. What do you know? Your daughter keeps explicit porn underneath her bed. It's my smallest stash though so I don't particularly mind, except the fact that he just threw away a Banyu anthology that's worth $50-60 and my Triple!Dino/Tsuna (foursome) doujinshi by DESORDEN. The other stuff he threw away... Well, there were some there that I already scanned and I'm pretty fine with just having a copy on my hard-drive, and other books that I don't look at anymore. Oh, and then yesterday he threw away my Inazuma Eleven artbook which I bought for freaking $40. This one didn't even have explicit material or hints at anything, gyahh. It was plain gen for God's sake! Anyway, I was angry so I was actually thinking of not finishing my Ancient History assessment just to bite him in the ass, but I figured that'd end up biting me in the ass in the future, too, so I did it anyway.
I see that many of my friends on my F-list has had or will have a birthday this week. Happy birthday, all you May babies! I'm so behind in birthday scans so I'm going to cheat and do one scan, two or three people. /shot
...And since it looks like this entry has turned into a log about the past week, I'll tell you about a story where karma bit me in the ass recently. Last Friday I pretended that I had a cramp during English just so I could sleep through the class. I'm good at acting so pretending I was in pain wasn't that difficult. Oh, funny thing is that when the teacher called out my name for attendence, David who sat next to me told the teacher I was there, but I had a cramp. My teacher responded with: "A cramp? Those are painful. Does your leg hurt?" Everybody laughed because she's a female too. At least come up with the possibility that I have menstruation cramps and not leg cramps. Anyway, it was hard to stiffle my giggle when she said that. Point is, three days ago my cycle came and I had a seriously painful menstruation cramp. I puked once in the girls' restrooms and then went out. Friends told me I should eat something after vomitting so I had two small mandarins, but I felt so sick afterwards. I hastily approached the girls' restrooms again, but didn't make it in time and puked a metre away from its entrance. Yeah, serves me right. All I know is, I don't want to see mandarins for another month or so. /shudders (I've been eating oranges for the past three days though?) I don't know if this would be called karma, though, because it happens every month so I should be used to it by now, but I'm never used to the pain. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
Can't remember anything that happened during early May, so I guess that's all about my recent events. So what have you been up to, F-list? Looking at my LJ inbox, I realise I haven't responded to some comments from my previous entry... Sorry about that, guys! OTL
Signed,
