Tokyotoys Portrait Day

Mar 15, 2009 19:58

Yesterday was the manga portrait day at Tokyotoys with the lovely ladies pinkapplejam and fayeyong.
pinkapplejam has posted some pictures from the Tokyotoys portrait day yesterday. I hardly took any pictures, save this one. I think it was the last full colour commission of the day for me.

Got a ride down to London town with Laura and Andy. We had some sushi for breakfast at Japan Centre and headed to Tokyotoys to set up at around 11 am. Tokyotoys has changed locations since I was there last so we had to run around for a bit before we found it (P.S. I like the new facility better). The event was supposed to start at noon but some people were early so we started slightly before. Faye joined us a little later and so we were rolling!
There was pretty much a steady stream of people so we were kept busy. It was intense but a lot of fun. I was a bit surprised to hear how some people had travelled far just for this event, but then others just happened to stumble across us. One guy had flown in from Australia the day before for a placement and found us as he was exploring London for the first time.
Toward the end of the day my head started feeling rather light but it was a wonderful day.

It was lovely to see everyone who came!! Finally got to see Joanna! :D Thanks for dropping by and catching up for a while with us! <3
Also thanks to LukeP, Mathew and Noodles for showing your support! :) And of course, big thanks to Hideki for having us over!

Incidentally, look what I found at Japan Centre. It looks amazing... O_O *sigh* I should've realised that it might sell out.
