Ah! Good evening Blacktech!

[He gives the blinking screen a cordial wave, however his fingertips are covered in blood.]

You caught me in the middle of prepping for tomorrow's little festivities. I know this isn't the most benign of places, but when I had a look at the date Chipp-kun reminded me that we should be having a cele--

Oho a new frequency!

You know him?

Well! For one a party is the most common tradition.

The birthdate is celebrated because it is the day one was brought to life!

Ah, yes! He's... my friend.

O-Oh, I see--! It sounds like a wonderful thing.

A party?

Really!

Then you are definitely invited, ah Miss?

First name: Anji, for myself, last name: Mito.

I'm the coordinator of this "Shindig" as Chipp-kun tells me it is called, he's the traditional holder, and Baiken-san will be handing out the spankings.

M-Me? I'm called Dizzy. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Anji--!

Ah, so, 'shindig' and 'party' mean the same thing?

... spankings? Is that a... snack?

Diz~zy... Ara! I know you!

The Free Will Gear!

I take Johnny-san has already whisked you away in his arms like some fairied-tale damsel, na?

But oh yes, yes Shindig and party are the same, it's a time to get together with friends and share stories and eat. A congregation if you will.

.... W-well no it's.. actually nevermind that, it's only important to rambunctious adults.

Ah-- y-yes, that too...

I'm... not sure what a 'damsel' is, but he did pick me up.

It sounds like a great deal of fun! I'll look forward to it-- if it's no trouble to come...?

You are "First name basis"!

It's rather mandatory you be there, Dizzy-san.

O! For proper preparation, do you have anything in particular you like to eat?

Our provisions are small but, I can see what I can do.

-- is calling someone by their first name a bad thing? I-I didn't know...

I'll be there! ... I don't think I have a favourite food... but I'd be glad to help you out in any way that I can!

I'd like Mr. Johnny to have a wonderful 'birthday'--!

M-maa.. a, no, no! It's not bad at all!

If anything, to be of 'first name basis' means you are close enough that you can be informal and use someone's first name when calling them.

Aha, do you cook, Dizzy-san?

Then you will help me make it very special for him, OK?

Oh, I see! It's... special, then.

N-Not as such, but I can follow instructions very well. I think I'd like to learn someday, though.

Of course! I'll do all I can.

Oh very special to most.

People who can be casual with you are the best comrades to be had! Really I wish everyone would use Anji's first name.

Oho? Well then I shall just have to teach you! My flat-mates are good for nothing but burning and stabbing things, which is all well and good out hunting, but in the kitchen one needs to be a little more graceful and show finesse.

Would you like to come over then? This is a bit short notice, but I was only aware that this was an A-Country tradition a few hours ago.

I'd love to--! I'm... not really doing anything else.

Where do you live?

I live in the Latimir building on the 4th floor.

We're room number 406, you'll know it by the distinct smell of burning beef fat and sake marinade!

Ah-- I'm staying there, too! It should be just upstairs, if I'm right.

I-I'll be right up!

Good, good, good! Four hands will be much more efficient in making nikuman.

Johnny-san collects people around him like poor moths to a firecracker.

Ah! See you soon!
