9 people were shot just last night in separate incidents. There was another shooting in tinley park the other day, which may be linked to the lane bryant massacre (my friend's darren's friend was one of the fatalities)
They're trying to raise the gun ban in chicago. I don't know what to think about that, though. People always want want they can't have and clearly, even though it's illegal to own a handgun in Chicago people still have them. I don't know if things would really change if it became legal, but I like Mayor Daley's comment. "Does this lead to everyone having a gun in our society?" Daley asked while speaking at a Navy Pier event. "If [the justices] think that's the answer, then they're greatly mistaken. Then why don't we do away with the court system and go back to the Old West, you have a gun and I have a gun and we'll settle it in the streets?"
