Progress thus far:

Finished watching Susano-o. Mmm...I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet.

There were brilliant parts, all the actors were fantastic. But the pacing felt weird like there wasn't a natural progression of the story. It was just "WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN HEAVEN NOW. OH, NOW WE'RE ON YAMATO. THE POLYPHONIC SPREE YOU SEE BEHIND US ARE ALL THE CITIZENS OF YAMATO. JUST BEAR WITH US. OH NOW WE'RE IN THE FOREST."

The play seemed to have issues with transitioning between scenes and events.

One moment we have Susano-O dying (?), the next moment a red hand is RAAAAAAR!! at Mizu's villainous character from under a set of stairs. Mizu pokes the hand back under the stairs with the end of a sword and VOILA! Out of the stairs comes Thriller!Susano-o in his zombie hell-worn get up.

I just had to stop and wonder what was supposed to have happened there. Apparently that was Susano-o's triumphant return from hell.

The musical numbers are fantastic and entertaining, everything is really pretty (especially Mizu as Aosetona, copper glittery lipstick ftw!) but wtf on the direction? It turned something that could have been epic into something incredibly campy.

I really enjoyed the revue part, however. Takarazuka Glory! was just freaking cute. Chasing Rainbows Komu was adorably dorky and the dancing was some of the best choreography in the entire show. Dandy!Mizu is really very very Dandy! And Mizu as the Perfect Guy...HOT. The obaasan in the front row were probably squeeing like schoolgirls when she stepped off the stage. XD

I'm just so sad that they couldn't include the music for the Blood, Sweat, Tears and Life segment. Epic Yukigumi Freddie Mercury covers ftw. Yukigumi sure does love their spirited gospel, don't they...

And the pair dance between Komu and Rira...beautiful, but it would have been more lovely to hear the accompaniment.

Right now ("HEY!"):
Watching Ernest In Love. I really never got the love for Sena Jun. I got this play mostly because of Kiriyan, though I don't mind Sena Jun.

However, I'm only 1/4 into the play, and if its Sena Jun's comedies we're talking about, I guess I'm a fan :O
