Summary: Donne thought she'll lead a perfect school life as the top student and as Kaichou, until Yamada entered her life.

“Ah~ you’re here now,” Ryosuke squealed in delight.
Donne was wearing a blouse and a skirt, something she wouldn’t wear on casual occasions like this. If not only for this pervert in front of her...
“Eh~ you really look good today. I’m glad you wore it.”
She raised an eyebrow. “I’m only doing this as a sacrifice. I’m the Kaichou, after all. Anyway, why a zoo?” She glanced at the place. “You must really like animals.”
Ryosuke smiled widely, like a child. “And I think you’ll like it here, too.”
Donne rolled her eyes. “Heh~ I’m so excited,” she said sarcastically.
Ryosuke frowned a bit. “Just to warn you, though. I’m not actually good at this thing. So please tell me if you’re bored.”
“Me, t - EH?! Ah, don’t kid me. You’re the one who threatens me into dating and now you’re saying that you’re not good a t it?” Donne laughed in disgust.
“Demo, it’s tr - “ He wasn’t able to finish what he was saying as Donne signaled him to stop by showing her palm just an inch away from Ryosuke’s face. “Talk to my hand,” and she started walking toward the zoo.

She can’t help but admit to herself that she’s actually enjoying in the zoo. It’s her first time here after all. She always saw wild animals on TV and made her want to go to a zoo since she was little, but the fact that she’s keeping the title of being a star student made her a very busy person, almost depriving herself of the little desires of her heart.
She came across different wild animals she so longed to see with her very own eyes. She can’t let her guard down in front of Ryosuke, but as she laid eyes on the chameleon, she can’t help but smile in awe as she watched it change color as it moved.
She was taken away from her amusement when she heard the sudden click of a camera. “Oi! Omae! Delete that picture!”
Ryosuke kept on taking pictures of her even while shouting.
Donne grabbed on the camera to stop him but she was surprised when she pulled Ryosuke to her along with the camera that their eyes were only two or three inches away from each other. They both gulped in their nervousness, and then Yamada was able to pull the camera away from her. “Yamada! You delete those pictures!”
Ryosuke smiled at her. “Well, I’d like to take your smile home.”
She was taken aback with his words. She’d like to think those were mere cheesiness, but she really felt like blushing. She couldn’t hide her face either, or she’ll be obvious. Thank God, the sound of a bell saved her.
“Are~? Kaichou-sama, stay here. I’ll just buy ice cream. What flavor do you want?”
She thought for awhile. “I’ll have vanilla.” After saying her request, the latter then rushed excitedly like a kid to where the sound of the bell came from. She followed him with her gaze before he disappeared from her sight then sighed. “I wonder if he took a dose of stimulants this morning.”
She took her earphones from her bag and connected it to her phone to listen to some of her favorite music until her date comes back. The zoo was quite crowded and noisy, so she raised the volume to its highest to drive the unpleasant noises away and then continued to watch the chameleon while waiting for Ryosuke.
But little did she know nor expect that her and someone’s life would be in danger that day.

It’s quite a sunny morning in autumn that many people in the zoo, especially the kids, had rushed to the ice cream cart to buy the delightful treat.
Ryosuke had a long time yet before his turn. He could feel his throat scorching already. “Strawberry and vanilla, please.” He was already tempted to eat his ice cream, but he decided to eat it at the same time with Donne. He carried the two cones with care and started to go back to Donne, when an alarm suddenly rang throughout the vicinity and a voice spoke.
“To all our beloved visitors, please evacuate the area immediately. For your safety, you may leave the zoo with our emergency exits. Something unexpected has occurred and we would like everyone to leave the place calmly. Thank you.”
The voice-over kept repeating the same message, while all the zoo visitors were panicky but slowly dispersed into all possible exits in the zoo. Some children cried, not wanting to leave the zoo just yet, but had no choice when their chaperone’s forced them to.
Ryosuke grew more worried as he rushed over to where he left Donne. He was still carrying the ice cream, which was slowly distorted as he ran. On his final turn, he saw Donne still being amused by the chameleon. He panicked as he heard the lion’s roar from nearby. Without thinking, he had lost hold of the cones and the ice cream spilled to the ground, as he ran towards Donne to save her.
He grabbed her by the arm but with Donne being confused of the sudden action, they both tripped and fell to the ground - Ryosuke with her back on the ground and Donne falling on top of him. “What’s going on?!” she asked as she clinched in pain from tripping.
“Daijoubu desu ka?” he worriedly asked instead. She nodded, and they both sighed for safety when Ryosuke suddenly opened his eyes widely. “B-behind you.” “Eh?”
He wrapped Donne tightly with his arms and rolled around, making Donne lie on the ground. For a second, he felt a painful pierce at his back. For a second, he fell asleep, hearing Donne’s shriek lastly.
And for a second, he failed again.

A/N: I guess this chapter is an epic fail. I was in the middle of procrastination when I was writing this, and my mind is not at all working at its best, of course. Gah, of all chapters, why this? DDD:
I watched all my videos in our computer. Unfortunately, I only have the SC perf of Aiing -Aishiteru, Yan Yan perf of OVER, and the dance cover perfs of that audition last May 14. I can't download everything I want to download, since my bro and my mom are being too paranoid that downloading too much might again only destroy this new computer we bought last April. I wish I have my own computer. Computer, not a laptop. ><
