Oh bondage, up yours! or: here's three chords now form a band.
I don't really have much to update about, but I am taking a break from the reading I need to do, so I will figure something out to say! My little sister Abigail, my friend Louisa, and her baby Jamie came for the weekend. It was good, while also being quite strange. Im so used to my apartment being quiet and uneventful, it was anything but that with all of us living in it this weekend. My room looked like a refugee camp! I guess it is always strange to have your home and "independent" lives collide like that.
This week I have 2 midterms and some more writing due for my thesis. I have written a 7 page introduction, and a 14 page first chapter thus far which is something I can remind myself when Im not sure I can write whatever is ahead. This next chapter is my theory/lit review. I hate these things- so tedious, not very exciting. I never know exactly how to lay it all out and order it. It is scheduled to be 15-25 pages and with all the theory reading I did this summer and into the semester I wouldn't be suprised if it hit the 20 page mark. I can't wait to get this part done so that I can finally get to my analysis section. I keep coming up with great ideas for it and writing them down. I hope I can remember what some of the notes I scribbled mean when I get to them!
I have 7 total interviews this Thursday at RPI. Their PhD program is my dream- for real. Only 5 years, and I will be a doctor, they require you to get published or present a paper publicly each year you are there, have amazing fellowships available, is close to home, has a proffessor who's area of study is religion, globalization, and media...the list goes on. Please keep me in your prayers if you remember.
Mmmmkay. Ive wasted enough time.
