So if I said I was thinking about doing a multifandom vid to "We're Gonna Die Young" with a bunch of stuff about various characters, well, dying young, would anyone have some suggestions for sources?
A slight problem is that three of the most significant things I can think of--Sherlock, Amy+Rory, and Bucky--do not actually end with their real deaths. The Hunger Games is on the list for things that actually do work, as is another recent movie, but that's really all I can think of at the moment. So! Name me some movies or shows you think I've seen, although don't specify characters yet, since I might not actually have seen them.
There is a possible legal snag in this, though. And it's spoilery for a source I don't want to actually name because that in and of itself might be a spoiler, so it goes behind a cut.
The reason I thought about making this vid is that the internet found a DVD screener of The Hobbit that doesn't seem to even have any watermarks, and would be perfect for vidding, except...it strikes me that having the file is really really illegal, and I don't know if advertising that it exists via using it in a vid would be a good idea. I could just not use the movie at all, but since it was a gifset on tumblr featuring the movie that gave me the idea in the first place, that would be a shame. Alternately, I could just wait until the movie comes out on DVD, but that will be months from now and I don't want to have to wait. Piracy problems, man. Anyone have opinions?
