Add "and a girlfriend" to the icon and you get the idea.

So the thing I have been doing but not posting about is: playing Dragon Age! Roommate S has it and would not stop talking about it, so when she finished it I asked if I could play it and she practically threw the disc at me. And, well, I can kind of see why she was going on about it. It is a largely enjoyable game that manages to bring back a certain level of nostalgia (oh, Knights of the Old Republic, you are forever in my heart and it amuses me so that your similarly-styled descendents are much more popular than you were) while also adding certain aspects that were sadly lacking from KOTOR--namely, that you can bang like half your team. Not all at once! Well. Not all all at once.

Does it make me a bad gamer to have my favorite parts be the character interactions? No, because there is no such thing as a bad gamer unless you are literally bad at playing the game, which I am, in this case, not. I do enjoy the RPG part of it, mostly because I am as previously mentioned not bad at it. It is not enjoyable to do things at which you are bad. Bioware RPGs, on the other hand, are pretty easy once you get the basics down, so I can divert most of my attention to making friends with my party members. By which I mean "convince all three available options for my gender that they really want to sleep with me". In fairness, with one of them it was not difficult. But I suspect he was designed as such.

I'm playing as a female human, and I'm about 25 hours in right now--finished almost all of Redcliffe (still need to revive Arl Eamon) and Denerim (man I don't even know what else there is to do there, icons on its map are still greyed out), plus the Brecilian Forest. Teammate-wise, I'm still missing Oghren and Wynne; Leliana likes me, Morrigan doesn't dislike me as much as she used to, Sten is pretty much completely neutral, my dog will always love me but not in that way, Zevran practically hopped into my tent after a few conversations, and Alistair is insisting that he's "not ready", which is all kinds of adorable. I probably just need to give him more statues. Because material goods are totally all that is needed to convince someone to let you deflower and eventually marry them, right?

For serious, it will never stop amusing me that like half this game is a bisexual dating sim. If Zevran and Leliana like you enough you can have a foursome with them and one of Zevran's old friends! Regardless of what gender you are! I am totally disappointed that when Zevran tells you he's also into guys and asks if you're okay with that there is no conversation option for "Honey that is even better HEY ALISTAIR GET OVER HERE". But in my heart, there is.

Also I guess there is like a plot or something? But the plot is kind of depressing so I prefer the focus on the parts that make me giggle. Which, yeah, is mostly Zevran. Apparently he makes heterosexual male players uncomfortable. Welcome to the world of female gamers, boys! At least his clothes are sensible.
