When Saturday comes I will have six days to make a five-minute vid. Um. Woo?
Hello! I am bored and I do not have many thoughts on Doctor Who (which I only just got to see) except that the opening narration made me very happy and the end is a bit :| but I have recently come to the realization that I cannot actually bring myself to dislike Doctor Who, no matter what it does, which is more than I can say for some of the other things I've liked. So! Here are a few other things that I like, and maybe you will like them too.
- Hellhounds, a Samurai Champloo vid. It is not at all spoilery, so you could very much watch it if you haven't seen the show; this is because it is an instrumental action vid, that rare breed to pull off, but it pulls it off admirably, and is pretty much the best way to display the frenetic fluidity that is this show. I am perhaps unreasonably jealous of this vid. It's just really nice, okay.
- Pumpkin Flower, a webcomic. It is about a boy and a ghost, and it is very strange and very sweet and I am enjoying it very much. I can kind of respect any story that firmly refuses to tell you the details of the world it takes place in until the plot absolutely requires it, and the relationship between the boy and the ghost is ridiculously adorable (also slashy, albeit maybe one-sided), and the art style takes some getting used to but the colored-pencil-ish etherealness of it all is actually quite fitting to the story, so. Oddly enough, while I found this comic through fandomsecrets, the artist is actually a prolific member of Tiger & Bunny fandom, whaddyaknow.
- Black Adventures, a Pokemon fancomic. Look, shut up, it's long-running enough to be a ~legitimate~ webcomic and I love it lots, okay. If you played or are playing Pokemon Black or White, and you thought N was kind of adorable, and you are a fan of crossdressing, and also a fan of things that are fun, you will like this comic. It has plot and weirdness and cuteness and about as much gayness as you can expect from anything that focuses on the male player character and N. And I am incapable of not giving props to anything that includes a guy dressed as Celty. Incapable, I tell you. (The first two chapters were made for 4chan and as such, uh, are a bit different from the rest of the comic, fair warning.)
- This 14-second Pokemon vid. Just...just watch it. I can't promise it will make your life better, but if I can infect another person with the inexplicable need to watch it over and over again, I will have done my job.
