I am catching up on Supernatural! Slowly. And somewhat reluctantly. But I am!
So I saw Inception yesterday! (My dad is out of town and my mom and I decided that sushi and mindfuck was the best way to spend a girls' night out; that is how we roll.) I was all excited partly because everyone, everyone is saying it is a very good movie but also partly because most of those everyones are also saying it is slashy as hell so I was all ready to gain a ship and when a thing happened very early on in the movie I smiled to myself and was like, ah, so that is the ship everyone likes, except then those two never had any more of those moments and I realized the ship everyone likes was one of those guys with another guy and I couldn't get into it because I felt betrayed by my subconscious. So yeah.
I did like the movie, though! And there are so many ~theories~ to be had, like hey did you know the lyrics of that French song are "I regret nothing" and were sung by Edith Piaf who was once played by Marion Cotillard that cannot be a coincidence so maybe it is all Mal? idk, I am not actually very good at theories. I do feel slightly guilty that um I was more interested in Robert Fischer than in Cobb, possibly because it is just so sad that his entire role in the movie was to have character development forced upon him rather than made by himself and I want to give him hugs. Cobb I do not want to give hugs. (I will say that it was kind of hilarious that everyone in the theater we were in groaned at the very last shot. One person actually yelled "Dammit!". Tricksy bastard, Christopher Nolan.)
