I was planning to spend today rewatching Princess Tutu because why not, but then my parents told me we were going to see Sherlock Holmes so uh I did that instead! And oh my, you guys, fandom will really really like this movie. It's just. I can't even. There is slashy, and then there is one-step-away-from-jumping-each-other-at-any-given-moment. Or, as the New York Times review puts it, "
the barely sublimated physical passion they manifest for each other in nearly every scene". Also I guess there was some plot and stuff, I don't know, mostly it just seemed like violence, explosions, and gay to me. Irene Adler wasn't so bad, though! There have been far worse shoehorned love interests. And Watson's impending fiancee seemed a lovely lady. (Not that this keeps Holmes from trying at every opportunity to sabotage the relationship, but hey.)
