i started crying near the end of the tds/tcr election night special, and i haven't really stopped

I can hear people cheering outside.

...and I wish I had something wonderful and poignant and inspirational to say, but I've never been good at that sort of thing, so.

It's late, and I need to get to bed, because I have an 8 AM class tomorrow.

But I'm going to go outside and listen to people for a little while longer.

omg omg omg, daily show colbert report, my life and welcome to it, politics will fuck your shit up

Heh, it took me a full 3 seconds to realize which outside you were referring to... Not the Washington one, but the Georgia one.. granted, it's an art college outside, but still! People in Georgia cheering! Yayay!

. o O (and NC is really really really trying to be a blue state for the first time in its history! Man, i lived to see this happen! :D)

I will admit that not everyone here is bouncing up and down in joy. (And most of us aren't native Georgians.) But still, hearing those cheers? Fuckin' A.

(Did NC go for Obama? I know SC didn't, but after a while, I just stopped paying attention to the states and stared at the numbers going up and up and up instead.)

Apparently they are still counting 40,000 provisional votes... historically 65% of them will prove to be eligible and that they will break towards the winner, ie Obama.

(Overwhelming here in Durham, though! 102,237 for Obama; 32,040 for McCain)

"Unofficial election results show Obama with 12,106 votes more than Republican rival John McCain."

So yar! Looking Good!

And heh, i don't associate SC with NC in any shape way or form, really. It's just that state south of us, y'know? ;D

Oh & we totally voted in our Very First Female Governor! Tis a year for Firsts, it seems!

Though i voted for the libertarian 'cause i din't care for the winner's stance on immigrants >.>

I would just like to say that I adore your icon. I'd totally vote for him--well, maybe not that him--except he kind of has a history of running away from public office, so. Obviously the real candidate is Martha.

Heee, Thankee! ...and although the original image was taken back during the Primaries, i did the same thing with the sticker this time around as well & then took it one step further & decided it needed to be an icon! ;)

. o O (and as i said somewhere else (i lose track where; in one of Indyhat's posts, i think) Four has Presidential Experience! ^_^)
