You should read it, anyway, at least the first series is fab, and the one(s?) after that are not too bad, either.

Of course, the proper film version of this would be an animated feature with your drawings, using a script based on selenak's story.

It would, it would. Alas, I guess I'll have to be content with the remote chance that someone watching the movie will go "hang on, that reminds me of a Heroes fanfic I've read!" *g*

In other words, that's great news! I hope it will be the Iron Man type of Marvel film, though, not the Daredevil type...

From what I can tell, it wasn't that high-profile a series to begin with--at least, not in mainstream American media--so it seems likely that the people who thought it would make a good movie are people who actually liked the story, not just wanted to make another superhero movie. Thus, the chances are in our favor! One hopes.

It's definitely on my comics watchlist--once I see a collection of it, I'll nab it, I just haven't yet. (Assuming I haven't spent all my money on Lucifer, Preacher, Hellblazer, Transmetropolitan, Hellboy, and BPRD. God, having a good time is expensive.)

I'm most amused that you think my drawings would work for animation, but hey, as long as it's got selenak's words in there, I think it'd be brilliant no matter what it looked like. *g*

Ooh ooh ooh! I haven't read much of Runaways, but what I have I have been thoroughly impressed by.

I haven't read any of it at all, but selenak wrote an absolutely amazing Heroes fic based on it--seriously, amazing--and so that is what makes me want to read it, just as soon as I find a collection of it in a store somewhere. (I don't, er, acquire comics; I prefer to actually pay for them, plus it's nice to have something concrete.)

And supposedly has Brian K. Vaughn attached as the writer.
That's one step in the right direction already. :)

Indeed it is! (Although my opinion of Brian K. Vaughn has been a bit weakened by his ultimate reveal for Y: The Last Man. There's only so far suspension of disbelief can go, and this is coming from a Doctor Who fan.)
